IB Math AA — common questions

What's the difference between IB Maths AA and AI?

Analysis & Approaches (AA) is algebra- and calculus-led with a non-calculator paper — suited to STEM, engineering and economics. Applications & Interpretation (AI) is statistics- and modelling-led, with the calculator allowed throughout — suited to social sciences, design and business. MYKO supports both, at SL and HL.

Does MYKO cover both SL and HL for AA?

Yes. AA is fully built at SL and HL — 220 atomic skills across all five topics, including the HL-only material (proof, complex numbers and the deeper calculus). The diagnostic and every practice session draw on the level you are studying.

Is the non-calculator paper (Paper 1) covered?

Yes. Every item is tagged by paper context, so the diagnostic and your practice sessions include Paper 1 (non-calculator) skills alongside the calculator papers — the way AA is actually examined.
